Embedded Open Frame Touch Monitor
10.1 inch open frame touch monitor
,IPS open frame touch screen
,32 inch TFT LCD monitor
When a display needs to be built directly into a machine, kiosk, control panel, or customized terminal, a conventional desktop monitor is often difficult to integrate. The Embedded Open-Frame Touch Monitor HOP170-8 is designed around this requirement, providing an open-frame structure that can be incorporated into the customer's own enclosure and mechanical design.
With 10.1 inch to 32 inch display options, multiple resolutions, resistive or capacitive touch, VGA/DVI inputs, optional HDMI, and VESA 75/100 mounting, the display can be configured around different equipment architectures. Optional 1000 cd/m² brightness also provides a higher-luminance configuration when stronger visibility is required. For OEM projects and system integration, the focus is not simply on the screen itself, but on how easily it can become part of the finished product.

The open-frame construction allows the monitor to be installed inside a customer's own enclosure rather than relying on a finished monitor housing. This makes it easier to develop flush-mounted interfaces for equipment panels, kiosks, cabinets, and customized terminals. VESA 75 mm and 100 mm mounting interfaces, together with horizontal and vertical bracket options, provide additional flexibility during mechanical design. For equipment manufacturers and integrators, this means the display can be considered as a component within the overall system architecture, helping the mechanical structure remain focused on the final product rather than adapting around a conventional monitor.

Different equipment requires different amounts of screen space, so the HOP170-8 series supports display sizes from 10.1 inch to 32 inch. Available resolution configurations include 1024 * 768, 1280 * 1024, 1440 * 900, and 1920 * 1080, allowing the display specification to be matched to the interface layout and host system. This range is useful for businesses developing multiple equipment models or customer-specific configurations, because screen size and resolution can be selected according to the available installation area and visual requirements. Instead of treating every display requirement as an entirely separate sourcing project, buyers can work from a broader open-frame display platform.

The touchscreen configuration can be selected between resistive and capacitive touch, depending on how the final equipment is expected to be operated. The touch panel provides up to 92% light transmission, a stated 2 ms response time, and a touch life cycle of up to 50 million touches. USB serves as the touch system interface, allowing the monitor to work with the customer's host system as an interactive input device. This gives developers more flexibility when designing machine interfaces, kiosks, control panels, and other interactive equipment where the display needs to handle repeated operator input rather than simply provide visual output.

The HOP170-8 supports VGA and DVI video inputs, while HDMI is available as an optional configuration. This helps accommodate different host platforms and existing equipment architectures without making the display dependent on one particular video interface. The monitor can operate as the visual and touch interface while the customer's industrial computer, controller, media player, or other host device handles application processing. For system integration projects, this separation can simplify hardware selection and allow the display configuration to be evaluated independently from the computing platform. The appropriate interface can then be selected according to the video output available from the final system.

The standard luminance is specified at 350 cd/m², with an optional configuration reaching 1000 cd/m². This gives project teams an additional display option when the equipment needs stronger screen visibility under brighter ambient conditions. The panel also provides a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 16.2 million colors, and a 5 ms response time for general interactive display applications. Rather than selecting a high-brightness configuration by default, buyers can evaluate the actual installation environment and choose the appropriate luminance level based on where and how the finished equipment will be used.
Integration does not end with selecting the right panel. The display must also be installed accurately and adjusted after it is connected to the final system. VESA 75 mm and 100 mm mounting options, together with horizontal and vertical mounting brackets, provide several ways to position the monitor within the equipment structure. The built-in OSD also provides controls for brightness, contrast, auto-adjust, phase, clock, horizontal and vertical positioning, language, function settings, and reset. These controls allow installers and technicians to fine-tune the display after installation, which can be useful when the final viewing position and ambient conditions differ from the original development environment.
